Athanasio Kosmas Sifaki, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Panama in the Republic of Korea, was born in Panama, August 25th of 1966. He is married with Maria Irene Lukis de Kosmas and together have three children.
He graduated from Colegio La Salle and continued his studies at the Panamerican University of Costa Rica where he graduated with a Bachelor of Administration with an emphasis in Finance and Accounting; in addition, he possesses a Bachelor Degree in Law and Political Science from the ISAE University of Panama, a Master´s and Postgraduate in Higher Education from the same university, and a Postgraduate Degree in Governance and Political Management from the George Washington University in the United States. He is a member of the National Bar Association of the Republic of Panama.
He has a wide experience working at professional high-level affairs in the private and public sector. Between 2004 and 2009 he worked in the Ministry of the Presidency of the Republic of Panama. Furthermore, he has an outstanding trajectory of more than two decades in political strategies and electoral campaigns. Mr. Kosmas masters a vast professional practice of the evaluation, management and development of commercial and real estate projects.
He has been a member of different charitable organizations, holding directive and presidency positions. He has done community work and social assistance for children with needs.
